synopsis:

act one

Mid-twenties Nasha Baker is of a loving black mother and an abusive white father. After a difficult youth she has grown into a kind but quiet young woman with little use for people in general. On her way to a weekend party in the country she really doesn’t desire to attend, Nasha stops for gas at a country store and is approached by Levi. Levi has spent his entire life in the woods far outside a tiny town. His parents have passed leaving him a rustic cabin and the remote life he desires. He appears calm, laid back and almost pleasant but hides an ugly violence that is just beneath the surface …until it isn’t. Levi, a captor in-waiting, has a history of abducting young women to serve him in his country cabin. He currently has an opening and after their brief encounter at the gas pump, Levi has decided Nasha is his next victim.

act two

Having run her car off the road and capturing Nasha, Levi takes her to his dark and remote cabin which is filled with bars, locks, and anti-escape mechanisms. She regains consciousness to find herself chained to the floor next to a big, sweet dog named Cooper. After early experiences Nasha learns that Levi’s erratic tendencies require, at the very least, the appearance of compliance. Weeks pass and Nasha appears to be settling into the new life for which she has no answer. She comes to find that her previous life in the city hadn’t been the stuff of dreams and that the pleasant side of Levi may be sufferable enough to stop her resisting. After some time of a nearly pleasant existence Levi commits a couple fouls that even Nasha cannot accept. Her newfound desire to escape is met with an unforeseen opportunity. Upon her escape Nasha is faced with both, where to go, as well as a desire to make Levi pay. With the roles reversed, Nasha decides to make Levi’s life as miserable as he had made hers.

act three

Nasha is devolving into what she has been exposed to both by her father and now Levi. It isn’t until a few town-folk begin to ask questions that Nasha is forced to make some difficult and life-changing decisions. The question becomes…whose lives and what changes?
